• (1) Please install「Windows plugin」or「MAC plugin」first. And reboot your browser.
• (2) Insert your IC card into the card reader. And select the corresponding IC card via ”▼” icon. The system will automatically shows the information of your IC card.
• (3) Enter the original PIN code. Starting from 23 September 2025, the default PIN code is set to eight digits, composed of the last four digits of your ID number followed by your birth month and day in MMDD format.For example, if the last four digits of your ID number are 6789 and your birthday is 1 January 60 (Chinese calendar year, which corresponds to 600101), your default PIN code should be 67890101.For cards issued on or before 22 September 2025, the default PIN code is six digits, composed of your birth date in YYMMDD format.For example, if your birthday is 1 January 60 (Chinese calendar year, which corresponds to 600101), your default PIN code should be 600101.After entering your original PIN code, enter your new PIN code twice.To enhance security, it is recommended to use a combination of numbers and English letters, with a length of six to eight characters and no spaces.
• (4) Completing Operation for Change of PIN Code.

※Download and install the「HiCOS Client」if "Web Page Errors" appears or no response when pressing the operation button, while enforcing the various certification operations on the MOICA website.
Steps are described as follows:

• (a) Installing the Hicos Card Management Tool: Please press the download hyperlink「HiCOS Client」and decompress the execution file to install HiCOS Card Management Tool.
• (b) Please reboot your computer after the installation and press Start / Programs / HICOS PKI Smart Card / HiCOS Card Management Tool / Card Management / Change PIN Code，do as the instructions to change your PIN code.
